Shanna Guzman, L.Ac.
Acupuncturist, Herbalist, Owner
Shanna is a California and nationally licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. She received a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches Institute. After graduation, Shanna opened up her own practice locally and worked in a clinic that specialized in Fertility in Palo Alto, CA. She then collaborated with colleague and friend Jessica Davies to open a full time clinic in Santa Cruz called My Center.
Shanna’s specialties are women’s health, sports injury/performance, and Five Element Acupuncture. She uses a holistic approach incorporating acupuncture, herbs, whole foods nutrition, and western lab tests to best treat her clients. She also evaluates diet, exercise, and lifestyle to incorporate the body-mind-spirit. Shanna is passionate about preventative medicine and guides each client to self care. Each treatment is unique and catered to each individual’s needs.
Shanna is also very active in the swimming and fitness community of Santa Cruz. She swims for the San Francisco Olympic Club and the local Cabrillo Swim Club. She competes throughout the year locally and nationally. Shanna also coaches swimming at Simpkins Swim Center for the adult fitness program.
Shanna is available for treatments on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Herbal and supplement consultations are also available in person or over the phone.
