MyCenter Practitioners

Shanna first opened MyCenter with business partner and friend Jessica Davies, L. Ac in the spring of 2006. Shanna had previously worked at an acupuncture clinic specializing in Fertility in Palo Alto, CA. At MyCenter, Shanna focuses her practice on treating Women's Health, Pain Management, and Balancing Emotions. She has been very successful with treating Fertility, Premenstural Disorder, Menopause, and helping women through their Pregnancy.  She uses a holistic approach incorporating modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine and further evaluates diet, exercise, and lifestyle to incorporate the body-mind-spirit.  Shanna is passionate about preventative medicine and guides each client to self care. Each treatment is unique and catered to each individual’s needs.

Shanna is a California and nationally licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. She received a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches Institute. Shanna is passionate about furthering her education and does so from teachers throughout the country to better treat her clients.

Shanna is also very active in the swimming and fitness community of Santa Cruz.  She swims for The Olympic Club in San Francisco and the local Cabrillo Threshers Swim Club. She competes throughout the year locally and nationally.  Shanna also coaches swimming at Simpkins Swim Center for the adult fitness program.

Shanna is available for treatments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Herbal and supplement consultations are also available in person or over the phone. Accepts Insurance.
